Community Drum Circles by Paul John Dear

The term Drum Circle originated in the United States during the late 1960s.  The music was played by a group of people who gathered in informal venues, such as parks, and who co-created and improvised the music.

Drum circles have developed into two main types: free form drumming and facilitated group drumming.

Drum circles are often used in team building.
