					Teaching in Higher Education
					- It's not what you think! - by
					John Bartley
					My
personal memories of being taught various subjects in
secondary school are of prolonged boredom and an
overwhelming desire to be anywhere but in the classroom.
					So begins
					John Bartley's article.
					It was
first published in New Learning at the end of 1999 and, as
will be appreciated because of that journal's association
with Neuro-Linguistic Programming, is heavily laden with NLP
					concepts and NLP-ese.
					We thought
it interesting to see how it has stood up over the
					intervening decade and a half.
					We have
tried, unsuccessfully to contact Mr Bartley to get an update
on his biographical data and current thinking.  If
anyone can put us in touch, this will be appreciated
