Beliefs

"Nothing we can do can change the past, but everything we do changes the future" - Ashleigh Brilliant

How can we change our beliefs?

Resistance to change is the action we take when we perceive a change that is occurring as a threat to our lives or our beliefs.

The threat may be imaginary or small; the size of the resistance may bear no relation to the size of the threat.

In the last issue of Nurturing Potential we reviewed a book by Jeffrey A. Kottler titled Change - What Really Leads to Lasting Personal Transformation.  The inside cover blurb states "Think of a time in your life when you overcame a significant, chronic, intractable problem that had challenged you for years, until somehow you managed to completely turn things around in such a way that the change has persisted to this day.  How did that happen; and what was it that made the greatest difference?

Our reviewer called it "a book to treasure".

It is one of life's happy coincidences that the book was offered for review just one month before we had decided to devote the next issue of Nurturing Potential to the main theme of Change and Transformation.  Or perhaps it was more than mere chance.  After all there is only a single letter difference between chance and change.

It's just a matter of what you want to believe.

Tapping Into Your Potential

In the very first issue of Nurturing Potential in Summer 2002, Michael Mallows described the way he works with his clients using EFT.

Now precisely twelve years later he has described how and where he may have modified his methods.
