Organisational
Transformation. Three key stages for managing change -
by Dr Sarah Dixon.
"A major challenge for managers today is lack of time to
think and do things differently", says Dr Dixon.
Organisational transformation is achieved by the process of
developing a strategy for modifying an enterprise's policies
so as to move the organisation from "where it is" to "where
it needs to be".
Dr Sarah Dixon was Dean of the University of Bradford School
of Management, following 23 years experience in the
petrochemical industry, with posts in Vienna and Moscow and
responsibility for strategic planning and mergers and
acquisitions in London. She is now Dean of the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) which is a pioneering
international university based in the World Heritage city of
Suzhou on China's east coast in collaboration with the
University of Liverpool.

Seven Business
Development Marketing Tips For Social Media
- by
Patrick Zuluaga
In the Business Section of our last
issue we quoted comments from an Australian website on risks
inherent in social media advertising. We suggested
that the challenges faced by these new marketing
opportunities demanded a completely different approach and
business philosophy than was needed in the past.
Now - also
from Australia - we are grateful to Patrick Zuluaga, Founder
and Director of PMZ Marketing for permission to reproduce
this article that overlaps this business section with the
social media considerations that were the subject of our
last issue.
