Healthy
relationships evolve through respect and survive through
choice.
They
cannot be created and then left to survive on
their own.
They
cannot be taken for granted. Like all living things,
relationships need nurturing; they need attention
and feeding. Or they will wither.
The
difficulties that arise in relationships frequently spring
from historical baggage that we bring to the
relationship. We have to know ourselves if we genuinely
wish to understand others.
