  BOUNDARIES

Not a bridge - but stepping stones

It’s important to recognise a distinction between “building bridges” and “maintaining boundaries”.  In psychotherapy, for example, building a bridge of trust between therapist and client is essential to effective treatment.  Maintaining a boundary between interpersonal behaviour and intimate interaction is equally important.  Sandra’s picture suggests a key to this riddle . . . not bridges, but stepping stones.  See article in the Main Theme section, and read Sandra's article in the Third Age section.
